EMERGENCY INFO: The mainline was cut and grease is everywhere. How do I stop it?
Pull the green plug from the timer for a truck, or turn the solenoid screw to horizontal for a trailer timer.
What type of grease do I use?
Good quality EP00 or EP0. Other shop grease will clog the meters.
How do I refill the pump?
Or follow the instructions located under Care and Maintenance.
What connector do I need to fill the pump?
SETI sells a complete pump set that has advantages over regular retail. Please see Parts. However, if you need it NOW, the Gates G34521-0404 will get you connected.
Can I get replacement fittings at the hardware store?
Unfortunately not, as they are quite specialized. Please contact us for prompt delivery.
Where is the fuse?
Normally the autogreasing system is protected by the truck fuses. Check your Truck Owner’s Manual for location.
Where is the timer located?
For trucks and tractors, the timer is usually in the cab behind the fuse box panel. In older units, it may be different. Contact us, if you are unable to locate it. For some slingers and spreaders, it is in the control box, or if operated by the PTO, there is no timer. This set-up primarily occurs when only the box has an autogreasing system.
For trailers, the timer is located under the pump.
Why do I not have a solenoid?
Systems run by a PTO do not have a solenoid.
How do I know if the system is working?
For trucks, the light on the dashboard will be on for approximately 3 minutes every 2.5 hours. For trailers, the light is on the timer itself, under the pump. All grease points should be lightly wet. The timer may be put on TEST, or eliminated from testing by using the manual override on the solenoid. More information is available under the System/Components/Parts page.
